4 must do's in Old San Juan, Puerto Rico

Updated: Sep 17, 2020

1. Castillo San Felipe del Morro

I make sure to visit this fort every time I go to Puerto Rico! It never gets old. It’s huge and has plenty of space to explore! Out front there is a huge lawn were you can purchase and fly a kite!

2. Piraguas!

Technically this is just a snow cone, but it’s so much more than that! It has a cool name and better flavors. Instead of having a snow machine, they have a block of ice and shave it themselves into a pointed shape rather than a dome. My favorite flavor is Guanabana! (Don’t question me, just try it)

This is not a Piragua, but it's another delicious street treat (my mom's favorite). It's like a sherbert

3. Pigeon Park

Here you can buy a bag a bird seed and feed the pigeons. There are a lot of pigeons. If you don’t like birds, don’t do it.

4. Piña Coladas

Fun Fact of the Day: Piña Coladas were invented in Puerto Rico! There is a “battle” between Barrachina and the Caribe Hilton on who invented it first, but I like Barrachina's best! They even have a plaque outside their door. If that’s not proof, I don’t know what it. They also have Virgin drinks for our little ones.
